Fatupua-Lecaill was a notable player of Tahiti national team, playing in 1998 and 2002 FIFA World Cup Qualifications; he played also in 2002 OFC Nations Cup, giving a notable victory over Solomon Islands in first stage, scoring the third goal on 90+ minutes, during the stoppage time.
